Fiona Jackson lecturing in Bulgaria

Fiona Jackson was invited by the Council of Europe to deliver three lectures this week to Bulgarian judges, prosecutors, asset recovery agencies and investigators in Sofia as part of its two-day workshop on International standards and implementation of asset recovery legislation.  During the workshop, which was designed to increase knowledge and awareness of legislative frameworks and mutual legal assistance throughout Europe and beyond, Fiona spoke on topics including an Overview of the international and EU standards on asset recovery with an emphasis on treaties Bulgaria should adhere to and implement; The advantages of civil forfeiture; and Confiscation, management and disposal of confiscated assets.
