In 2005 the International Labour Organisation estimated that global profits generated from the business of human trafficking amounted to US$32 billion every year.
Businesses, financial institutions, institutional investors, advisors, enforcement agencies, government and international bodies will meet together on 30 November 2010 at London's Living Room to discuss the problem.
The level of illegal trade and financial harms will be discussed, the risks to businesses clarified and the issue of human trafficking outlined insofar as it affects global patterns of trade and local reputations and operational risks will be studied.
The keynote speakers will be Steve Chalke MBE, (UN.GIFT Special Advisor), Sandra Kozeschnik (UN.GIFT Civil Society Partnerships), Kit Malthouse AM, (London Assembly Deputy Mayor) and Mary Macleod MP and Mark Rainsford QC of 33 Chancery Lane.
The Event is supported and made possible by donations from Hodkinson Law Group and the Mayor's Office
