We are delighted to announce that Aidan Casey KC and Armando Neris join chambers this week. 

Aidan joins us from South Square Chambers, and has an impressive pedigree in chambers' core areas, including Fraud and Asset Recovery, Commercial Litigation, International Arbitration, Crypto and Digital Assets, Insolvency, Tax, Investigations, International and Offshore Litigation, Financial Crime including POCA and Sanctions, and Privy Council work. 

He has significant experience in disputes involving Russia/the CIS, UAE, Mauritius, Cyprus, Sweden, BVI, Malta, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Bermuda, The Bahamas, Kenya and Nigeria. He has been called (pro hac) to the Bars of Bermuda and The Bahamas and is qualified to appear in the DIFC and the ADGM.

Aidan practises in international litigation and arbitration in disputes under ICC, LCIA, LMAA, ICAC, HKIAC and ad hoc rules in various sectors, including shareholder and corporate disputes, finance, energy and natural resources, construction, sports, and telecommunications.

Armando is joining us as an experienced practitioner from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. He was previously at McDermott Will & Emery and Watson Farley & Williams in London. He began his career more than a decade ago at a leading New Zealand law firm, where he appeared as counsel in the New Zealand courts. He was formerly a Solicitor-Advocate in England & Wales and a Barrister & Solicitor in New Zealand.

As a commercial litigator, Armando has acted for a wide range of clients – including ultra-high-net-worth individuals, financial institutions, private equity firms, and state-owned entities – in complex and high-value proceedings, two of which have in recent years been featured in The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases. Armando has particular expertise in banking and financial services, civil fraud, and energy and natural resources disputes.

In addition to his considerable commercial litigation experience, Armando brings with him specialist arbitration and international law expertise, having acted as counsel in a number of institutional and ad hoc commercial and investor-state arbitrations, including disputes before ICSID. Armando also has experience of cross-border litigation and co-ordinating foreign proceedings in a range of jurisdictions all over the world.
