Cyprus Current Affairs Forum

Amanda Pinto KC is speaking at the Cyprus Current Affairs Forum on 21st June 2023. This year’s Forum is focussing on Sanctions. Amanda will be speaking on the subject of Sanctions and Financial Crime, with particular emphasis on the challenges for business arising out of the overlap between sanctions and civil and criminal forfeiture and freezing orders.

This event will facilitate political, regulatory, commercial and legal communication, and promote better understanding of recent US, EU and UK sanctions activity for stakeholders operating in banking, finance, regulation, insurance, international trade, maritime, compliance, government, and legal sectors.

Along with Amanda, speakers include the Minister of Justice and Public Order of the Republic of Cyprus, Senior United States State Department Official (retired), Vice-Chair of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, Chair of the House Standing Committee on Foreign and European Affairs and former Cyprus Minister of Finance as well as senior lawyers from London and Washington DC.
