Socialite James Stunt cleared in one of UK’s largest money-laundering prosecutions
James Stunt was acquitted on Tuesday 4 March 2025 in relation to a £200 million Money Laundering offence which is one of the largest in the UK to date. Yesterday his TiBs were granted an order at the High Court requiring disclosure from the CPS and the West Yorkshire Police to obtain details of Stunt’s assets before the discharge of the restraint order.
Barry Stancombe of 33 Chancery Lane has for several years acted for the trustees in bankruptcy in the restraint proceedings with Joseph Curl KC at South Square Chambers.
